Fazila is an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with over five years’ experience working across NHS inpatient, community and third-sector settings. She has supported children, young people, elderly clients with dementia and adults with learning disabilities experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, with a particular recent focus on those affected by trauma and domestic abuse.
Her practice is grounded in trauma-informed, somatically-attuned and intersectional frameworks, informed by anti-oppressive and relational perspectives. She works developmentally, with attention to attachment, nervous system regulation and the wider social contexts in which distress occurs.
Through art-making as a relational and symbolic process, Fazila supports clients to safely explore and express experiences that may feel difficult to put into words. Her approach offers a gentle and contained way to process trauma, build emotional awareness and develop a stronger sense of self.
Alongside her clinical work, Fazila holds a CPCAB Level 6 qualification in Clinical Supervision and supports practitioners through reflective and integrative approaches. She aims to create therapeutic and supervisory spaces that are collaborative, culturally sensitive and grounded in compassion.
Her work is underpinned by a strong commitment to equity, cultural humility and inclusive practice, and she strives to offer a safe and respectful environment where each person’s experience can be held and understood.
As a neurodivergent practitioner with lived experience, her work is informed by both professional training and personal insight.
